Abstract

In Ecuador, the stock market remains relatively limited, despite the remarkable growth experienced in recent years, driven by the private sector. Since the creation of the Stock Exchange in Ecuador, companies have been able to access financial resources through this market. However, the limited disclosure of information and, in many cases, the fear of the complexity of the process, as well as the attachment to traditional practices, make it difficult for companies to take full advantage of the benefits that this market offers them. After comparing the periods 2019-2020 in relation to the selected indicators, it was noted that there was no greater variation in the transparency of information, within which it is differentiated that there was a greater increase in access to information with 10% and the others within a range of 3% to 5%, implying that the impact generated in the period 2019-2020 was not so noticeable.
