Abstract

In objective 11 of the National Plan for Good Living (2013-2017), the state considers water as a strategic sector, a renewable natural resource; however, industries have excluded from the productive process the rational planning of pollution of Residuals Liquids. The level of efficiency of the planned in these residues in the Esmeraldas Refinery is insufficient, since it is not known from the factory point of view what is the factor that most affects the contamination, with the aim of emphasizing its decrease, Which leads to the use of econometric techniques to achieve this objective. For its fulfillment a Multiple Linear Regression model is used, from five functions to choose the best one. The results have enabled the Esmeraldas State Refinery to create the necessary premises for the execution of the 2018-2020 investment plan with the minimum cost and recovery period.
