The knowledge of the way in which an agricultural productive unit manages its processes and products from a sustainable perspective, suggests the objective of this article, which is to expose the interrelation between sustainable development and crop diversification, in the Quinindé de Esmeraldas canton, Republic of Ecuador. The observation of this relationship between both variables allows the application of the sustainability approach in the process of crop diversification, structured in a management model.
