The Administration of the University Public Enterprises in Ecuatorian Context

Abstract

The present article has as objective to expose the general considerations on the creation and administration of the companies public university students and to deepen in the contradictions that originate in this process in correspondence to the new conditions of development of the Ecuadorian society, and the new conception of public companies in the Ecuador. The current situation of the university production units, its transformation in independent, self–financed, sustainable public companies, and the results of the experiences is analyzed of those that already operate. The method Delphi is used to identify and to decant the contradictions of the acting and the variables that limit its operation to the moment. The investigation hurtles as a result that the creation and administration of these companies bears contradictions that require of its study. In this moment in Ecuador doesn't exist an own administration model that guarantees the efficient handling to these companies and her effective contribution to the national development.
