Challenges of Development of Territorial Planning in the Cuban Economy

Abstract

Considering the process of improving planning; the integrity of the plan and the harmonization of the general guidelines of the country, with the features and capabilities of the different provinces, the Methodological Plan for the development of the Ministry of Economy and Planning Indications were analyzed. The basic task performed was framed in the revision of Chapter of Territorial Planning methodological indications from 1980 to 2014, in order to examine the different stages through which has passed the Territorial Planning in the country, taking into account the Guidelines Economic VI Party Congress. This allowed propose different aspects to be taken into account in territorial planning in order that the Leninist principle of conjugation of the branches and territorial aspects are met. In this direction are suggested activities and tasks to consider in the analysis of the territories.
