PROPOSED METHODOLOGY FOR THE MANAGEMENT SUPPLY IN THE COMPANY "EASTERN SHIPYARD" (ASTOR)

Abstract

The present investigation was developed because of the necessity of the entity "Astilleros del Oriente" (ASTOR) of having an objective inventory policy that allows its efficient administration. Therefore, the main objective was guided to offer to the entity a tool for the making of scientifically based decisions. Concluded the investigation, it can be conclude that the inventory models, in particular the probabilistic model with fixed period of backorder, is a tool of great utility for the entity under study. This mathematical model allowed the entity to minimize the costs associated to the inventory, contributing this fact to achieve a bigger efficiency in the financial operability.
