Abstract

restrictions and real possibilities of the economic development in the Latin American countries, taking like  reference the Latin American classic estructuralismo from Raúl Prebisch and analyzing the approaches more discussed along the last decades on the base of the new conditions of the world economy. In recent periods they have stood out the conceptions of the Neoestructuralismo like current of the thought economic Latin American that he/she has as fundamental theoretical antecedent the Latin American Estructuralismo arisen in the decade of 40 in the XX century. Presently work is sought to approach the fundamental questions that characterize the Neoestructuralismo, for that reason the objective of the same one it consists in, to analyze the general characteristics and the main focuses of the Neoestructuralismo like current of the thought economic Latin American, which arises at the end of the years 80 and principles of 90 in the XX century. In the work an evaluation of the novel aspects is made that the Neoestructuralismo contributes to the theory of the development economic Latin American; as well as the problems that are still without solution to achieve the objective of the economic development in these countries.
