This paper exposes the fundamentals aims of The Economics Science School of the Universidad de Oriente and its connection with the Latin-American’s structuralism school of thought during the fifties, which was represented in the national sphere by the economists Regino Boti and Felipe Pazos. By other hand this article proves the validity nowadays for Cuba of the creator’s ideas of this school of thought, especially when this country has as challenge, in a not favorable socioeconomic situation, to upgrade its current economic model.Downloads
