Abstract

This article was developed in the computer applications base business unit DESOFT Santiago de Cuba, addressing issues related to short-term financial management, specifically the management of accounts receivable, with the aim of applying a procedure for optimization of this current asset. To comply with the objective, the commercial credit policy was characterized and its different variables were analyzed by applying techniques such as the Pareto Diagram for the selection of those clients that generated the highest percentage of sales, in comparative analysis and the determination of the costs associated with the management of commercial credit that allowed to have elements of judgment for the decision-making of the directors of the entity, in order that its credit management is effective and efficient.
