Origin and evolution of logistics in Cuba

Abstract

This research arises from the identification of logistics as a source to achieve competitive advantages. This aims to build a synthesized document that collects and bases the origin and evolution of logistics to use it as bibliographic material in the teaching of the subject in Cuba, for this theoretical methods were used (analysis - synthesis and historical-logical), from the bibliographic search it is extracted that the activity of handling and storage of cargo is as old as humanity itself, with logistics arising from the time man needs to preserve the grains until the next harvest, several national and foreign researchers conceptualize it in Four stages, Cuban authors classify the origin and evolution of logistics in Cuba in five stages and the author appreciates it in six, beginning in a time that goes from the primitive community to the colonial era.
